The Randall Theatre is growing and we are in need of volunteers to keep up with the growth!
As we gear up for 2019, we are actively seeking people who might be interested in helping us reach new levels of excellence. Whether you have a lot of time or just a little, every little bit helps. If you are thinking, “I only want to act” or perhaps you don't think you have enough free time to get involved, no worries! If you only have one hour every week or two, we can use you! Our theater needs the active participation and on-going support of its community members for it to grow.
Listed below are the committees and a short description of what they serve...
House - Volunteers who deal not only with the staffing of shows for box office, greeters and concessions, but also people who assist with the exterior and interior upkeep of the theater outside of showtime.
Marketing & Advertising - A group that concentrates on getting the word out about the theater. From poster put up to press releases, from ad sales to graphic design. A bit of time can help quite a bit in this area.
Fundraising - A group that concentrates on making sure money comes into the theater through any number of avenues. Event planning, marketing and/or advertising experience is a plus here, but not required.
Show Production - A group that concentrates on the the production aspect of the shows - sets, lights, stage management, sound, painting. This group also looks after and keeps organized our warehouse (sets, props, costumes) and our workshop.
Education - We have many opportunities in the community to start theatrical education courses for all ages. We're looking for retired theatrical teachers, actors with talents to teach to others, people with camp experience working with kids. This year we are adding classes for kids and adults.
If interested, we ask you to look at your calendar over the long term and see what amount of time you can give to this thriving, happy and growing theater community.
If you are not already currently involved in a committee, please contact us!

Thank you very much!
We work with many people who have never been involved in theater before, who have found an interest in the performing arts and have also found a home - a place to feel like they belong. Theater does that.
“Volunteering for the Randall Theatre gives me the awesome feeling that I'm part of something progressive and positive here in Medford; gives me hope for our community, and a sense of purpose that's missing when I just drone along to work and home, work and home. “
